Airsoft Goggles

Airsoft goggles are the most important piece of protective equipment for airsoft players and protect your eyes and face from direct strikes from airsoft pellets. Getting the right airsoft goggles is crucial to staying safe while still having the best possible field of view. The Dye i4 Airsoft Goggle stands out as the smallest, lightest goggle system with the best field of vision available. A culmination of Dye's extensive experience in goggle engineering, it features a thermal lens that offers industry-leading optical clarity. This lens ensures a distortion-free and fog-free field of vision in any weather. Additionally, the i4 system offers various lens options to suit different lighting conditions.

Players Want to Know…

Frequently asked questions by paintballers

Are goggles good for airsoft?

There is a certain amount of danger presented when playing airsoft so regular goggles may not be a great option. At a bare minimum, airsoft players should use safety glasses that are rated for impacts generated by airsoft but regular safety glasses fail to cover most of your face which can leave you vulnerable to painful impacts. The best goggles will cover your entire face, ears, and perhaps even part of the top of your head. At the end of the day, the most important part to protect is your eyes.

Is it safe to wear glasses while playing airsoft?

You can wear glasses while playing airsoft. Choosing the right airsoft goggles such as the Dye i4 or Dye i5 gives you the freedom to use your glasses without much hindrance.

What eye protection is needed for airsoft?

The minimum eye protection requirement for airsoft is safety glasses. Other types of eye protection such as regular glasses, ski goggles, and more are not rated for impacts and could actually cause shrapnel to go into your eyes when struck by an airsoft round. Getting proper airsoft goggles is the best way to protect yourself and prevent injury to your face and eyes.

Do airsoft glasses fog?

Airsoft glasses can fog, however, using thermal airsoft lenses in proper airsoft goggles can help reduce the likelihood of fogging.

Can you use paintball goggles for airsoft?

Yes! In fact, we recommend you use paintball goggles for airsoft since they can be used in both sports and only require one purchase. Paintball goggles also offer superior protection from airsoft pellets.

Can you use airsoft goggles for paintball?

No, airsoft goggles cannot be used for paintball for two different reasons. First, airsoft goggles offer less protection for your face than paintball goggles do and they’re also less rigid. In short, they’re not made to withstand an impact from a paintball. Airsoft goggles also tend to only cover your eyes and mouth whereas paintball goggles cover your entire face. Second, the lenses on airsoft goggles are not rated for paintball impacts. A paintball would likely go right through an airsoft goggle lens.
